Sarah Maier - Girls Head Coach

As the only ALC coach to graduate from a Columbia County High School, Coach Maier is the most "home-grown" member of staff.  Graduating with Honors from Evans HS in 2021, Sarah also earned All-State Honorable Mention and First-team All-Area selections as a Midfielder and Team Captain.  She then went on to Presbyterian College on a Lacrosse scholarship, but has now found her home at Catawba College where she will be playing on the women's team, majoring in Environmental Sustainability with a concentration in Natural Resource Management, and minoring in Biology and Zoology.

Having played lacrosse since 2009, Sarah has plenty of experience with the local and state club scene.  She was a leader on the inaugural Augusta Patriots Girls team from 2016 to 2019, then also saw time with the Eagle Stix and Victory Lacrosse programs before graduating High School.  It was her experiences with these programs that has her so eager to come back as a coach with ALC.  She's excited to help young girls develop and grow while creating the same kind of great memories she has as a club player.

In her rare time-off from studying and training, Sarah loves hiking, art, and spending time with her family dachsund, Jake.
